Hello,i am a trained and experienced Journalist with over 30 years practical working experience in Media Communications/Journalism in St.Vincent /Grenadines,Caribbean Islands. I am Managing Editor of the weekly tabloid ''FLAIR NEWSPAPER'' and the monthly magazine called ''PASSION''. Both publications have ceased temporarily,awaiting re-organization and capital funding, to resume publishing on a regular scheduled basis in October 2016, to celebrate the 36th Anniversary of Independence of St.Vincent./Grenadines on October 27th. The IJA-SVG newsletter would also be published on that date,in collaboration with the Association of Journalists of St.Vincent/Grenadines ( AWSVG ). In addition,the IJA-SVG is mounting a campaign to repeal the new Cyber Crime Law,which was passed in Parliament on the 11th August 2016,restricts Press Freedom and criminalizes journalists for carrying out their work in a logical and constructive manner. The IJA-SVG needs solidarity,support and practical assistance to carry out our campaign of Advocacy, Education,Training,and Media Development in St.Vincent,due to the level of self-censorship and fear existing among the country's media practioners and journalists. Program support to conduct seminars,symposiums,workshops,public rallies.radio and television programs, and moreso,continuous training of young journalists and women,to build capacity and strengthen the journalism capacity to deal with the issues of lack of democracy,corruption in government,lack of transparency,accountability and good governance in our state of St.Vincent/Grenadines.
